We are delighted to announce that we have achieved Reading Schools Core status. This accreditation, awarded by the Scottish Book Trust is valid until 2028. We have however, already started creating our action plan to achieve Silver status by the end of next session.
Research proves that reading for pleasure is central in supporting equity and wellbeing, positively impacting learners' attainment across the curriculum, critical thinking, creativity, empathy and resilience.
Our Reading Schools Leadership Group are working hard to share their love of reading with the rest of the school and have created an action plan to achieve Core Level of the award. Some of the new activities introduced this session include:
